Ukraine at 2012 Olympic Games

     Hello, I am Yuliya. I would like to share our aspirations connected with London 2012 Olympic Games.

    Ukrainian sportsmen  have already got  182 licenses for   London  2012 Olympic Games and so far will participate in such events as:  

 shooting,

 swimming

 athletics

 archery

 equestrian

 diving

 modern pentathlon

 rowing and canoeing

 rowing

 wrestling

 gymnastics 

 boxing

 gymnastics

 cycling

 track and field

trampoline

 sailing.

    There are some other kinds of sport we are sure to get the licenses  in the coming international events. The National Olympic team  will be completed in May-June when all the results will be announced.

            We have analised some results of Ukrainian national team at  previous Olympic Games  and before them.

             In pre-Olympic 2007 (before the Beijing 2008), Ukraine  won 15 awards  at  various  world championships (one gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals). At 2008 Olympic Games our sportsmen won   27 medals.

     In 2011 pre-Olympic competitions Ukrainians got 21 awards (6 gold, 3 silver and 12 bronze medals). So we hope to achieve great results  in London!
